Really, what story are we trying to tell? Very important. In my fiction I always like to include some moral issue. Or something about strong women protagonists, which I like to write about in non-fiction too. Good role models I think for other women, and this is Women's Intl History month, so I've been getting my writing in! Btw, pisco sounds like a drink I'd love to try- Saludos, Daniel! PS following you on Bluesky
Thanks for the comment Jeanine and I love hearing about your writing progress. Great point about womenβs international history month. Pisco sours are delicious! I highly recommend. Y si, we now follow each other on Bluesky!
Great question! I think I donβt really think of the story Iβm trying to tell beforehand so much as after itβs happened? So i guess itβs memories for me that (at least) make up my Substack writing. Iβm gonna give your question more thought before or on my next trip! Andβ¦a pisco sour is yummy!
Great comment Marlo! It doesnβt have to relate to stories as much as thinking about the intention. Yes, pisco sours can be amazing. Thanks for reading.
Believe it or don't, but the best pisco sour I ever had was at a bar in Santiago's airport called "The Last Pisco Sour." Not sure if arriving passengers see a title of "The First Pisco Sour." LOL.
This was such an enjoyable readβfun, informative, and full of personality. The way you shared about pisco and the cultural differences made it feel like a little travel adventure in itself. I also really liked how you blended learning and storytelling so naturallyβit made the whole thing feel light and engaging.
