I love your comfort level ideas, Daniel. Really, so much goes on how we feel--so use that to assist in siphoning off the fear. My Amazon indigenous roommate from long ago had a fear of flying b/c living near Belem (the mouth of the Amazon) they would always take sea planes, which submerge when landing. As a girl, scared her to pieces. Later in life her father-in-law had a small plane and wanted her, his wife and Deuzarina to go for a spin in Mendocino. She begged me to go. I dislike small planes, but b/c I was young and fearless at the time and bc we were BFFs, I agreed. Deuza held onto my skirt the entire time w. a clenched fist, but we survived! She was panicky entire time. Not a fan of small planes!!

Wow!! Now that sounds scary but exciting at the same time! Flying over Mendocino must have been lovely. I’ve flown on a few smaller planes and the constant rattle something I’ll never forget. I’m glad this post resonated with you Jeanine!
