Love these tips and observations.

Slow travel and hidden places are on my list.

As I'm heading to Australia for a lengthy stay, I look forward to each place. 1 to 2 weeks in each city but no set itinerary. Yes, a few ideas but the intention is to "go with the flow".

Hidden alleys, secluded beaches and local markets are high on the list.

Although I need to take some flights, public transportation, buses and trains are definitely the way to travel. Less cost, less stress. And sometimes, more talkative people.

Travel is about experience and finding ways to explore and blend in will enhance the trip.

All the best in 2025.

I love the hidden alleys idea. Looking back, some of the best experiences for me have happened after stumbling upon a hidden street with cool cafes and bars. Slow travel is also on my list for things to consider this year! Thanks for the comment and cheers to a great 2025 Laura!

So much going on in the travel world, Daniel. All the overtourism and places that are overrun make me sad. I couldn't believe that photo of a beach on Bali. Here's to 2025, fingers crossed for all of us.

Over tourism definitely is sad, but it’s the way it is nowadays in many places. Luckily the world is still big enough to uncover gems. I keep learning about new places to discover in Mexico thanks to your newsletter! 2025 will be a great year I’m sure.

I’m looking for random slow travel this year. Maybe throw a dart at a map type activity to select my destination.

I love that idea! A dart on a map sounds like travel in a pure form.
