I'm sure you aren't the only one who has inadvertently told someone you were pregnant in Spanish. I want to say it all the time.

I'm currently in South America trying to learn/improve my Spanish. I hate the blank stare when people can't understand me! But i guess I'm learning how much I need to work on my pronunciation.

You’re making an effort and that’s what counts. In my experience, language fluency isn’t linear. You’ll have ups and downs. But don’t give up! You’re in the best place to learn since you can take your classroom knowledge into real-world practice. One thing that helps me are reading Spanish tongue-twisters out loud. If you’re like me, the RRRRs are very hard. So try to find ones that focus on that. I’m happy to share any resources if you want!
